The new release ACC V24 is ready to be launched. The upcoming version V24 will be available in November 2023. With this release, we will take the first steps towards the cloud – you can be excited! For more information on this topic, please contact our sales team at sales@alarmcontrolcenter.de.
In our → June newsletter, we already informed you about the planned features and improvements that ACC V24 will have in store and provided you with the → roadmap.
Today, you'll get more details on three features that ACC V24 will be bringing along:

Categorization of a message via the ACC App
In the ACC, various categories for messages can be freely defined. These categories are displayed in the ACC App when new messages are received and can be selected by the employee. The categorization is also visible in the ACC archive and enables a message evaluation according to categories.

|
ACC redundancy manager
The ACC redundancy manager further simplifies the configuration and operation of a redundant ACC. The manager represents a central component on the ACC server that monitors and controls redundancy, opening up many possibilities for improving a redundant ACC.
For example, if an alarm filter is set on a primary ACC by a message, this alarm filter is also automatically activated on the redundancy partner. In this way, correct filtering of messages is ensured even in redundant operation. In addition, the ACC redundancy manager ensures that the information "message gone" is correctly delivered even if load balancing is used.

Agent for SIMATIC PCS neo
The new agent for SIMATIC PCS neo is the connection to the web-based process control system SIMATIC PCS neo from Siemens. As an interface, OPC UA A&C (OPC Unified Architecture Alarms and Conditions) is used. Which alarms from PCS neo are to be alerted via the agent can be configured conveniently via the ACC's user interface. The alarms can be imported from an Excel file or selected according to their severity. The message text can be freely combined from the individual fields of an alarm as well as from fixed text blocks. |

The Maintenance Release V23.1.11 is available to customers with ACC V23 and V23.1. Please contact our Sales team at sales@alarmcontrolcenter.de for the download link.

Installation instructions for the new release can be found in the document ACC Installation Guide or Installation Guide Redundant ACC under Docs. Please create a backup copy of your ACC installation before updating.
The following optimizations, among others, are included in the maintenance release:

- All current hotfixes
- Agent Desigo CC: Improvement of sending report PDFs via e-mail channel
- Agent ESPA 4.4.4: New settings options for "Message gone" and for determining the message ID
- Windows App: New security features and new functionality to force message processing

Please note: If you have a redundant system in use, we recommend consulting our support team at support@alarmcontrolcenter.de before installation due to the increased complexity.

The partner certificate underlines our many years of successful cooperation with Siemens AG as well as our expertise in the Siemens industrial product world. SIMATIC PCS neo is the successor product to SIMATIC PCS7.

In the course of a certification workshop at Siemens followed by an assessment, our colleagues from the control technology division successfully recertified our company for the SCADA and Factory Automation modules. We are very proud of this success.
We warmly congratulate our colleagues for this achievement and thank them for their commitment.

Upcoming discontinuations
The following ACC versions and components will be discontinued by 10/31/2023:
→ Agent WinCC from 7.0 and PCS7 from V8.0
→ ACC V5.2 and V5.3
|
|
|
After discontinuation, no more extensions are available for these ACC versions. In addition, technical support for the versions/components will be discontinued. As of ACC V24 (release: November 2023) a connection of WinCC V7.0 is therefore no longer possible.
